A First-Person Description of Life in America's Original 4 Settlements: St. Augustine, Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth

Students will be transported back in time to the late 16th/early 17th centuries to meet with 4 of the first Europeans to settle in the New World. Students will hear from settlers of St. Augustine, Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth and get an in-depth look at how the early American settlements were built, how they cooked their food, how they built their homes and meeting places, and what instruments they used. Learn the different resources discovered in America that made it such a coveted land. Hear about the interactions the US settlers had with the native Americans. Understand the hardships the settlers faced in settling the land and how they overcame the challenge.
